Majors and Minors Baseball
Teams for Minors and Majors divisions will be structured with feedback from coaches who have coached the players in previous years and with information gathered at assessment days. The goal is to create balanced teams and ensure that each team has players who are skilled at the pitcher and catcher positions. This will allow for teams to have some consistent pitching and catching while working on developing other players interested in these positions.
- Assessment days for Minors and Majors baseball will be held at MMU High School on two weekend days later in March. Dates will be announced when they are finalized'.- Players are encouraged to attend both sessions, but we understand if you have a scheduling conflict and can only attend one session.
- Please have your player wear a jersey with their name on the back if you have one. If you don't have one, then please add their name with a piece of tape on their shirt.
- If your player is interested in the position of catcher, please have them wear a cup.
- We will be playing on the gym floor so please wear sneakers
- If your player has their own bat, helmet, or catchers gear please have them bring it. We will have some helmets, bats, and catchers gear for players who do not have their own.
Minors and Majors Softball
We were very encouraged by the large number of players we had for softball minors in 2025. We hope the interest continues and we are able to field at least one minors team and one majors team in 2026. Please note we have moved the registration deadline for softball minors and majors up to February 13, 2026. It is earlier this year to allow for more time to combine with another league if we do not have enough players for either a minors or majors team. Making a combined team is the Little League approved way to ensure all players have a chance to play, even if their home league does not have enough players to field a team. This also ensures that players will be eligible for All Star teams. If a player registers outside of their home little league on their own, it is very likely they would not be eligible for All Stars.
Coach Pitch and T-Ball
Teams for t-ball and coach pitch will be built with the goal of limiting roster size to help ensure a better experience for everyone with the goal of developing skills at this age, a love for the game, and the experience of being on a team.
Ages
Please note that players must be a minimum of "League Age 4" to participate in T-Ball Baseball or Minis Softball, and not older than "League Age 12" to participate in Majors. League Age is the players age on August 31, 2026 for baseball; and the players age on December 31, 2025 for softball. Following are the age charts for baseball and softball
2026 Baseball Age Chart
2026 Softball Age Chart
CHLL reserves the right to move players to other teams within a division if for some reason teams are not balanced from a player ability standpoint, and across divisions if it is necessary to field a team in a certain division.
All Stars
We do offer All-Star teams at the conclusion of the regular season for those players that would like a more competitive environment, and the opportunity to play in the District/State/Regional/International Little League Tournament.
